Safety is not up for discussion in e-mobility.
Our curiosity has brought us to North Jutland.
More specifically to Hjørring, at Nord Energi Teknik, where we would like to hear about their experience of installing Triarca's GObox charging stations. Nord Energi Teknik has installed 80 charging stations, with two charging boxes on each, for Hjørring municipal home care, delivered through their wholesaler, Lemvigh Müller. Here we meet Martin Horsevad who has been project manager on the site.
Who is Nord Energi Teknik?
Nord Energi Teknik carries out everything within charging stations and supply networks in North Jutland and works primarily for their utility company, Nord Energi Net.
Martin Horsevad explains that the charging station is approved for public charging solutions and contains transient protection, which is a legal requirement if the charging solution is publicly accessible, unlike private charging installations. "The GObox charging point is of course approved for its intended use, which is public charging solutions. The panel boards have built-in transient protection, which is a legal requirement - it has to be there." says Martin Horsevad.
Project with Hjørring Municipality
Hjørring Municipality needed electric cars for their home care services, and Nord Energi Teknik chose the charging box because of its flexibility and ease of installation, with the option to mount charging boxes on both sides. "We chose to go with the GObox® charging stations because that's what suited how many charging stations they should have and how they should be placed. You can have two charging boxes, one on each side, and the group board is built into the stand itself - super flexible," explains Martin Horsevad."
Collaboration with Lemvigh Müller
Martin Horsevad praises the collaboration with Lemvigh Müller, which has been a great help from day one. "Great co-operation with Lemvigh Müller, our supplier of emobility equipment, who assisted in the development of GObox from day one. There has been great help," says Martin Horsevad.
Installation and operation
The charging station is easy to install, as it is delivered as a ready-made solution that makes the work easier for the installers. Nord Energi Teknik's contracting department has buried the cables and installed the charging stations in collaboration with their electricians. "One of the reasons we use GObox is that it's super easy to work with because you get a ready-made charging station with loose sides, either for a Zaptec Pro or for one of the other charging box providers, and the electrical panel is already built in from the factory. The cables that go up to the charging boxes are also already fitted at the factory, so you actually get a ready-made solution that is very easy to install," explains Martin Horsevad.
Development and future plans
Since the project with Hjørring Municipal Home Care, Triarca has developed mounting plates for Zaptec Pro and other popular charging stations on the market that make installation even easier. Nord Energi Net is planning to expand with more charging stations at their headquarters, as they need to create new parking conditions and expand with more charging stations. "We need to create new parking facilities here at the site because we're increasing the number of employees. In this connection, we need and want to expand with more charging points. So we're expanding with 12 more GObox charging points out here, with charging boxes on each side," says Martin Horsevad.
Future challenges and opportunities
Nord Energi Teknik looks forward to continuing their collaboration with Triarca and Lemvigh Müller to meet the increasing demands for charging stations in line with the green transition. "We see an increasing demand for charging stations and we are happy to have a partner like Triarca that can deliver flexible and reliable solutions. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and developing even more innovative solutions," says Martin Horsevad.
